Is Iran Developing a Nuclear Bomb?

Is Iran Developing a Nuclear Bomb?

May 16th Key date for North Korea in Nuclear Standoff with U.S.

On March 14, 2003, The question was asked, “Can astrology answer the question: Is Iran truly developing nuclear weapons?”

464_iran1From an astrological perspective there are actually two questions here:
1. Can astrology answer the question?
And
2. Is Iran developing nuclear weapons?

I set about answering the questions myself, and I asked a few other astrologers to see what they could do. The following article is the result. I have incorporated some news items from the Internet that apply to the question.

Let’s take the first question first. The following chart was cast for the moment of the question, at my location.

Using traditional rules concerning astrological techniques for answering questions (horary astrology), here is what I found:

The person asking the question is indicated by the Ascendant (Gemini) and the associate planet (Mercury).

Astrology is indicated by the sign of Aquarius and its associated planet, Uranus.

The question itself relates to the Third House – things that are contingent on something or someone else. The sign there is Cancer, and the associated planet is the Moon. Both of our questions boils down to this: “Is the report or rumor true?”

The outcome of the main question is positive, as indicated by:

1. The general concept that astrology can be used to answer any question.
2. The Moon is well placed in the Third House, which it rules.
3. Jupiter, a benefic (beneficial planet) is in the Third House, and the Moon moves to conjunct Jupiter.
4. Using the Koch house system, most of the Third House is Leo, a fixed sign. This indicates that the question can be answered in the affirmative.

Therefore, I conclude that astrology can answer the question.

For astrologers who use the Placidus house system, here is an alternate chart. The signs on the cusps remain the same, but some planets fall in different houses.

What about Iran and Nuclear Weapons?

464_iran2The second question is actually a lot like the first, as it relates to a report or rumor. Therefore the above list of indicators applies, and the answer is yes.

Kris Riske had the following to say about this chart (she used Placidus cusps):

First, she looked to the planets associated with the question:
  • Mars – weapons
  • Pluto – nuclear
  • Ninth House, Jupiter, Sagittarius – foreign country
  • Seventh House – open enemy
  • Aries and Aquarius – Iran
The she analyzed the planets and signs involved:
  • The Moon makes no aspect to Mars before the Moon changes sign (except the contraparallel)
  • The Moon moves to conjunct Jupiter (foreign country and also planet associated with the Seventh House)
  • The Moon moves to trine Pluto (nuclear industry)
  • Pluto is in the Seventh House of the open enemy
  • The Moon last sextiles Saturn, the planet associated with both the Eighth House (natural home of Pluto) and Ninth House (foreign countries)
  • The Moon moves forward to oppose Neptune of deception. Neptune is associated in this chart with the Eleventh House of Friends
  • The Moon then moves to oppose Venus, the planet associated with the Twelfth House (more deception, and dealings behind the scenes)
There are more details, involving complicated astrological relationships. Kris states, “In a nutshell: Iran is developing nuclear weapons with the help of an unlikely ally that might also be hiding the weapons. Or they could be under construction in that country. Thus Iran is in cahoots with another country. Delays and obstacles likely with Moon-Saturn, but eventually …”

Third Approach to the Question

464_iran3David Crook took a look at the chart for the first nuclear test.

When this chart is set for Tehran, Iran, Mars is found on the Descendant (at the right side of the chart). We learned earlier in this article that Mars is the planet associated with weapons. It happens that Mars is also prominently placed in the chart of Iraq and North Korea. When a planet is close to any of the angles in a chart (the angles are the four directions – north, east, south and west), things associated with that planet become top priorities.

While this is only one consideration David made in answering the question, it shows that similar factors are considered in different methods for answering a question.

In the chart for the first Atomic Bomb Test, Mars is at 25 degrees Taurus. This is a prominent degree in several other charts: North Korea's Ascendant is 25 Scorpio; South Korea has Saturn and Mercury at 25 Leo; The Iraq chart has Mars at 25 Aries; and the Ayatollah proclaimed the Islamic Republic of Iran with Mars at 25 Pisces. The U.S. chart has Mercury at 24 Cancer. The charts of these nations all indicate connections to nuclear weapons, through the chart for the first test.

David mentions a lunar eclipse on May 16, 2003, at 24 degrees Scorpio 53 (very close to the 25 degrees associated with the charts of all the nations mentioned). His conclusion is that around May 16 the nuclear stand-off between North Korea and the U.S. may come to a head, for better or worse, and by extension, the nuclear situation in Iran will come to the forefront in the news.
